Contained here is the full source code for Serv.

Included here is no documentation as far as running Serv, but messing with the config files and adding your u@h and pass to the userlist should get you on your way.

Serv was designed for Undernet's P9 protocol. You will not be able to connect to P10 or later without modifications to the server connection code or network parsing.

Serv is basically a heavily modified Darkbot, or ... since it predated darkbot, you can think of Serv as what Darkbot was based on. The files contained here have been modified as to not contain passwords, or much of the channel/user data that the live version of Serv had.

Serv features include:

• Multinick (The ability to change the nick of Serv in your channel)
• User registration, and memo services.
• Oper services, including clone detection, mass message detection, illegal channel/topic detection.
• Ability to create webpages via Serv on IRC.
• A lot more....

I never intended for Serv's source to be released -- but since I no longer frequent IRC much, and can't conceive of any reason for me to run an IRC network again -- I hope others can make use of it.
